In the two years that have passed since the release of Commercial Break, there was a period of time where I was at my highest highs and my lowest lows. This all came within the whirlwind of attempting to start caring for myself again and understand who I really was again. This transformation process started mentally. Deciphering between which people I really need in my life, I slowly severed ties with the negative connections that took a toll on my wellbeing. It is not that I did not care for these people in my life. Not at all. It is quite the opposite. I care for you and I wish you the best of everything. Increasingly as I started my healing mentally, I began to really start to take care of my body exploring different ways to boost my confidence again. This happened with the help from the hit Netflix TV show Queer Eye. It sounds cliché, but it is true. With this, I set New Year’s Resolutions for me to quit sulking and get out of my room, having the attitude that I would find my place in this wide world of reality. Making myself become a person, not a small pebble in a large parking lot. As this happened, I wanted to change my appearance that would bury the person that was left in shambles after I started adjusting into college and released Commercial Break. Through all these experiences, I have met and connected with so many people, some that I appreciate until the absolute end (all for positive learning experiences) and some that I will consider to be part of my personal family. And you all do not realize how much of an impact you have had on me and my journey thus far.
